The Big Bounce America is an inflatable park that tours in the summer months. There are two ways to enjoy this fun in the sun. They have family sessions and adult-only sessions. I don’t have any kids yet, so I did the adult-only session. I was looking for a good time. I desperately needed to laugh, experience some positive vibes, and just have fun. Let me tell you right now Sunshine, it did not disappoint.
Before we get into the logistics, I have to talk about The Giant. The Giant is a huge bounce house obstacle course. It was like the ninja warrior competitions I watch on tv. I don’t care what anyone says. I was out of breath and tired. I had to lie down a few times. I was determined to finish though….and I did. There are a few exits if you feel like you can’t make it. I was just too stubborn to quit. If you’re not up for a challenge, there are slides and other parts to explore.
What to bring:
- Fanny Pack
- Gripper Socks ($5.00 fee to purchase)
- Slide/Slippers
- Water Bottle
Bouncing takes a lot out of you. I def underestimated what it would be or how I would feel. Wear something comfortable and light. Long sleeves and pants are highly suggested. I ended up in the medic tent with a burn on my arm from the friction coming down a slide. It hurt for a few days, but it’s healing. There aren’t many restrictions in this place besides “no shoes” and “no bare feet’”. On the off chance, you forget something they have “gripper socks” for sale for $5.00. I also suggest bringing slides, crocs, or sandals. Although there is an inflatable “shoe zone” having slides and Crocs on will just make going from one place to the other easier. There aren’t many places to sit so the sneakers will be more of a nuisance than anything else.
Typically, when The Big Bounce America comes to your town there will be food trucks on site. If you’re particular, and let me say, you have every right to be, you are allowed to bring a cooler. There are shaded areas for you to sit and eat in peace. Water stations are also present and $FREE.99. What else is free? Well Sunshine, I’m glad you asked. Parking is free and there is plenty of it. That’s right….PARKING IS FREE!
