I’m not sure when but some time ago, I was on twitter and came across a thread. It was a guy who was sharing his experience with the Be My Eyes App. It is an app that pairs the visually impaired with volunteers who offer their assistance with tasks. He said how a lady called him to ask if the milk in her fridge was expired. That was all it took and I was hooked. I had to get the app and help out as well.

I joined August 2019 and waited and waited. As you can see the volunteers outnumber those in need. After the 1st two months I became a little discouraged that I may never get a call. Well I had my 1st call November 2019. It was so unexpected, but an awesome experience. It was a man who needed me to read his mail. The video call lasted about 5-10 minutes. Afterwards, my heart was so full. I called at least 3 people to share my experience and encouraged them to download the app which you can also do here.
The older I get the more I realize that the little things really make such a big difference.
Let Your Be My Eyes Light Shine!

Thanks for sharing the app.
